The Architektenkammer Bade-Württemberg (Chamber of Architects for Baden-Württemberg) is a service association, interest group and supervisory authority for their 26,000 members from the areas of civil engineering, interior design, landscape architecture and urban planning. It is a self-governing body: Working through democratically elected committees, the architecture profession creates its own professional code, defines policies governing the profession, and has input into laws and regulations. Based on their actual experience from their professional working life, the architects sitting on committees can react quickly to specific developments.
